Promoting #teaching2030 at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland

The University of Applied Sciences Burgenland has promoted the start of the project with various actions to make it visible to teachers, colleagues and stakeholders right from the beginning. You will find a description of the project on the research site:

In October 2017, a press release was published online, describing a student project that serves as a basis for #teaching2030. A group of students did research on the attitudes and skills that are necessary for teachers in the future. According to students’ findings, teachers should

  • be patient and have a good sense of humour
  • promote independent learning while providing guidance at the same time
  • always contextualize content
  • give students a chance to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice
  • give feedback to challenge students’ views and perceptions
  • organise excursions and (field) trips
  • use a variety of tools in their teaching
  • apply innovative teaching methods instead of traditional ones

Many thanks to the group for providing these results that will be used as a basis for #teaching2030.
